How long is the service life of high-speed punch die? How to improve die life?

To know the service life of high-speed punch molds, we must first understand the composition of high-speed punch molds: the mold materials are divided into high-speed steel and tungsten steel, while our Dongguan Sanhao high-speed punch molds use tungsten steel, with a cost of about 30000-100000, or even more expensive. A good horse with a good saddle, high-end high-speed punch only equipped with a good mold can give full play to the real charm of high-end high-speed punch. The mold of high-speed punch is processed by fast wire walking. Compared with the slow wire walking mode used by low-speed punch, the processing methods of fast wire walking and slow wire walking are very different. If the customer requires the precision of the mold and the smoothness of the mold, we must choose the slow wire, because the mold produced by the slow wire processing method can achieve better results through fine repair; With high materials and high cost, the comprehensive service life of the die of the high-speed punch is 3-5 times that of the low-speed punch. The service life of the mold under normal operation is as long as 5-10 years.

Different from ordinary punch press which uses single punch die for single punch processing and production, high-speed punch press is matched with progressive die for high-speed processing and production. Let's talk about how to improve the service life of continuous die:

1. Improving the service life of small convex die

For the small convex die with diameter equal to or less than the material thickness, the expanding sleeve protection device shall be installed for the continuous die of the high-speed punch. At the same time, it is necessary to improve the gap value of the small convex die and the structure of the material leakage part of the continuous die of the high-speed punch, increase the double-sided gap value from 8% of the original design to 14-15%, and change the shape of the concave die insert, The height dimension of the cutting edge part is set to 2-2.5 times of the material thickness, and the roughness of the degassing part (conical surface) reaches ral. 6. These improvement measures can greatly improve the service life of continuous die of high-speed punch.

2. Increase the grinding times of convex die

In order to improve the grinding times of punch and facilitate loading and unloading, a new punch fixing method can be adopted on the continuous die of high-speed punch. When fixing, the punch is fixed with a small pressing plate instead of a fixing table. Each time the edge is grinded, the punch groove is grinded down at the same time, the same grinding amount, and the same thick steel gasket is padded at the bottom of the punch. This structure not only improves the grinding times of the continuous die punch of the high-speed punch, but also is convenient for disassembly and installation.

Through the above two convenient structural improvements, the original high-speed punch continuous die can only punch about 50000 finished products per grinding, up to more than 100000 pieces per grinding, and some dies can reach about 200000 pieces. The production speed and economic benefit are greatly improved.
